Faith and Anthony interview the delightful Sofija Jovik, volunteer with the DC Abortion Fund, a nonprofit that makes grants to pregnant people in the DC area who cannot afford the full cost of an abortion. We discuss the cost of abortion, how the fund functions and works with clinics and other funds like the National Abortion Federation, and why Sofija became involved. The group touches on state-specific legislation designed to deny access to abortion care and the new Supreme Court order, undue burden, pregnancy timelines, Romania and China’s reproductive restrictions, our country’s failure to set up women to excel when it comes to reproduction, and the correlation between access to sex education and contraceptives and the lowering abortion rates. Faith and Sofija have a great time interviewing Anthony on his “male perspective” then the group closes out with their latest “shit they were never told.”
